The Taper

The taper begins. No more major workouts until after Cherry Blossom. It's now simply maintain and rest. Easy running. My easy days will be very easy and I'll be sure to take a day off this week and next. Magical things happen after the taper. PRs are toppled and goals are conquered. God, I love the taper. THIS is what running and training is all about; it's about utilizing the bank account of mileage you've built and then cashing a fat check on race day. Rest, then attack...
