"Ok, let's go"


- Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower giving the order for D-day to commence on June 6, 1944, 69 years ago today. 

Thank the "Greatest Generation" whenever you have the opportunity; approximately 600 WW2 veterans die each day.

I'd thank my grandfather but the extent of his WWII experience was working IFF radar on CVE USS Salerno Bay cruising through the Caribbean after the war. High blood pressure kept him out of most of the war (fortunately).
