The Wait

I ran an easy 6 miles this morning from The Line and actually felt a little bit better than I did yesterday. After 20 minutes with the group, I bid adieu and then started back to my car. I saw scores of runners and bikers enjoying themselves on this nice August morning. And what a morning it was; low humidity and pleasant temps. On my return, my pain subsided and I focused on the road ahead of me. I picked it up ever so slightly to see how I would feel. As noted, I felt pretty good; better than yesterday, but it doesn't matter - this situation isn't really getting better.

I am kidding myself if I think I can train through this. Limping about after a run with something that feels like a screw driver jammed into my thigh just isn't ideal. I've come to the realization that this is the worst injury I've had in 8 years (potentially ever). There doesn't appear to be a silver bullet, except maybe for lots of rest. In the meantime, t
he stretching and waiting continues. This begins the darkest of days, but I am hopeful there is light at the end of this tunnel

Forgive me for stating the obvious but, stand down, then attack.
