I ran 10 on Tuesday morning with Karl. I felt very good, but later in the day, for the second time in a week, I felt a cold coming on. My throat began to hurt so I chugged an Odwalla (which I usually do when I feel a cold approaching) and then proceeded to drink my weight in water.
I got home and felt good enough to run again. Addict? But, sometimes running helps combat a cold, but it didn't help much yesterday. The snow came down and lit up the dark night. CC, Karl and I ran quickly over the hill and dale that is Parkwood Drive and got in around 6. I came back home, showered, ate some eggs, popped some cold meds, bundled up in sweats and then went to bed...early. I awoke with a sore throat and a heavy head. I nixed my morning ritual of coffee and opted for tea, then crept back to bed. Instead of dragging myself to work, I took the day off and hung around in my jammys watching hours upon hours of "Always Sunny in Philadelphia". Late in the day before the sun went down, I ventured outside to try a shake out. After 100 feet I began to laugh. My joints were achy and I felt like I hadn't run in a year. Additionally, I was far too overdressed, but I wanted to sweat out the sickness. I ran slow and easy; the type of running where you don't breath and your heart doesn't beat anymore than it would as if you were on the couch. I got in 7, no worse for the wear.

Get better. Grab some Echinacea tablets at any grocery store, some Airborne alka seltzer tablets and rest up
Jake, I had very similar symptoms(heavy head, body aches, sore throat) as you have when I had my sinus infection a few weeks ago. It can be very easily confused with a cold(which I have before). I got prescribed antibiotics, and the next day I felt 80% better, no joke. Those things will kill the infection. If you have a sinus infection, you should definitely see the doc (or a walk in clinic-which is easier since you can basically go in right after you call).
I don't think it's a sinus infection. I am better today.
I'm not sure if cockatiels are worse than cats on a sick day. You can see and smell the cats taking dumps in the litterbox and their general excitement over the all-day presence of their owner causes them to hallucinate and chase invisible fish/mice/eachothers, making loud noises and meow-like shouts all day.
