The Weekend

Running on Saturday morning, after running on Friday evening, made my tendon hurt worse that it has in over a week. A step backwards. I walked the last bit of stretch along the Canal back to the GRC and called it a day. I got in 9. Anger.

My ankle area hurt for most of the run on Sunday, but it was a "different" type of pain. Instead of slowing me down, or affecting my stride, the pain simply rolled off my leg. After 27 minutes I bid adieu to the team and headed back to The Line (my plan wasn't to get too far away from my car in case my ankle/tendon got worse). I began to open my stride on Beach and in no time was rolling. For the next 33 minutes I got progressively faster and faster until I reached what was likely half marathon pace during the final half mile. I passed runners and bikers and loved every minute again. This was exactly what I needed. I cooled down around The Line trails. 10 total.
