Running in the City

I continue to run a few minutes more each day and my leg continues to get better. I ran 60 minutes with the team yesterday and my leg felt fine until about 50 minutes. The last 10 minutes were manageable but not ideal. I stuck to 50 minutes on Tuesday and ran for the first time from my new office at National Geographic at Farragut North. After dodging cars, pedestrians, manholes and bike couriers, I ended up at the M Street/RC Parkway Intersection. In fact, it only took me 7 minutes to get to the park. Additionally, I'm about 10 minutes from the GRC and the Canal, so this can make for some interesting runs. I am happy to run some new routes. Today I ran up through the zoo and came back along Connecticut. I ran straight by JARRIN's pad in Dupont. I was alert and looked both ways thrice in anticipation of his SUV bombing its way around the corner and striking yet another red fox.
I anticipate making a decision on whether I should run the 5k on Thursday or Friday.

Hombre! (Even though you're not really a hombre just like it when Jarrin calls me that) You're in the city? Awesome. Staple runs include tidal basin-gtown-mt vernon and HP if I'm feeling good loops. Looking forward to introducing you to the family of fox at HP.

I am excited to try these seldom run routes.

When do you usually run? How close are you to me?
