REPORT: the tendinitis is easing in my left leg. Today I feel better than yesterday and yesterday I felt better than I did on Monday. This is all I can hope for. This, along with the quad/hammy pain I had a couple of weeks ago, is a "half injury" - an injury that goes away with a little bit of rest. These half injuries are definite speed bumps in my training though. Last week I had hoped to be in the 90s again, but instead ran only half that. I've been icing, massaging and (as of last night) taking IBUPROFEN. I leave town this afternoon for yet another wedding and hope to be back running (short/slow) on Thursday morning. Next Saturday I have a 5k and the weekend that follows I have the half marathon. It appears as if I'll be away for work for a couple of weeks just after that so the Army Ten Miler might get scrapped. I will have to see how my training goes in early/mid-October and then determine what my course of action will be for the remaining months of 2009. The USATF Club Champs in Kentucky in December is on my schedule. I have also not ruled out a (late fall) marathon IF I can rally and get in some more long runs and some decent mileage.
