I feel much better today after I attacked the cold yesterday with everything I had. I even went out for a slow 7.5 mile shuffle in the middle of the day. I bundled up and kept the pace at a crawl. I sweated out all the sickness and returned to my cozy, warm fox den. It felt great to run so slow…like a forced shuffle. I am doing my best to follow the principle - ‘if you can run, you should’. So I ran. Do it!
I started easy this morning in the sub-20 degree chill, but picked it up mid-run and finished 10 in around 66 minutes. I continue to feel good and have a feeling deep down inside that if I maintain this track, I can smash down some barriers this spring.
