This video has been getting a lot of attention on LetsRun. I take no issue with how the officials handled the situation. Do you?

I think it's admirable to see someone finish the race he's started. Kudos.

Tough one and not sure. Would have had to have been there to appreciate the gravity of the kid's situation.

To be honest he wasn't doing himself any good other than pride. And yeah, yeah...I know, "Guts...Tough...blah, blah, blah." Pride - more times than not - is a veil for stupidity. And I can appreciate that as I've done many a prideful and stupid thing.

You just don't know if he had suffered some kind of catastrophic medical event (think brain aneurysm or hemorrhage). Usually in those situations you only have seconds to respond as the victim could suffer permanent brain damage or death. So watching him crawl could have been a death sentence. I mean, would you be able to live with yourself had you encouraged him and he dropped dead soon after?

You just can't tell from the video...

It was dehydration...and, in turn, a leg cramp. Not life threatening.
