Stretch 'em if you got 'em
It's been two weeks since my last run. Since that time, I've been taking medication and doing the prescribed stretches and strength work, which takes about 30-40 minutes to execute. I've also added in 100 push-ups during the session - why not? Anyways, I'm hardly recognizable anymore; a lean, strong, young specimen.
The good news is that this cocktail seems to be working. While stretching yesterday and today I realized that my leg (muscles) don't seem to need as much stretching as they did a week ago (if that makes sense?). In addition, even when I press down on my knee with my fingers, I don't feel any pain. Still, I won't run until AT LEAST next weekend (I don't have my running shoes with me anyways), perhaps longer if I determine I need additional time off.
Things are looking up.
