Run into the Ground

REPORT: Chiropractor finds "multiple" muscle imbalances in pelvis, legs and surrounding areas. All of these imbalances likely caused stress fractures last autumn and will keep causing additional problems until I get them corrected.

Chiro: "you ran yourself into the ground"

Treatment includes 2 more weeks completely off from running, more visits, followed by a gradual return to running with weekly mileage at first that hovers around ten (10) miles per week (sic).

Spring season is likely shot.

More this evening...

Maybe Spring PRs are a stretch, but I could only run 82 miles total last Jan/Feb and was still racing by April. The strength work didn't help my endurance, but I am convinced it made me faster at short stuff! It will be good for your kick.

Yes, spring PRs are out, I'm afraid.

I saw the comment before it was deleted. I have pretty much suspended race plans until I'm back running healthy again. However, a fall marathon isn't off the table. Still, I'd like to exhaust my "success" (read personal bests) in the shorter stuff first.

I spend a lot of time looking for red fox pix, and there are a heck load of dead ones since they wind up as road kill so often. This was a good excuse to use one.

Take pride in your comments, Frank! Don't let Bad Charlie Ban push you around.

Jake, listen to your doctors and then you'll be out there crushing souls and fox prey.
