Sorry to hear that Jake. At least you know what the problem is and can go about treating it, which I fear may be some time off from running. I wish you a speedy recovery.

I'm sorry to hear that Jake, your such a great leader for the GRC. Heal fast and you'll be back on the roads in no time.

I'll throw down a chicken tender for you. Actually, two. One for each fracture.

Femoral neck?

This reminds me of when my friend Randy, a musician, tore a ligament in his ring finger (essential in playing fiddle). We all wondered how he would get along without his music. Instead randy learned a new craft, building an amazing wooden scroll that held cloth paintings. He would turn the scrolls and tell a story or sing a song as the paintings scrolled past.

My point is, take this mandatory free time to master a new hobby and keep your mind fresh for when you ATTACK again. I took up beer and am enjoying the hobby. Running will happen again, soon enough.

Thanks folks. I will like vicarioulsy through y'all...except Jake Marren since he is also lame.

I blame Steve Jacobs since he told me to see a doctor. Ignorance is bliss Steve. Damn you.

CB - if I were in great shape right now, I'd do just that and go down like the Titanic after my race, but I am in poor, poor shape now. I'll await word from the ortho doc, but it appears as if time off (a lot of it?) is what will heal this issue.

If any lurkers have had this before, I'd love your input.
