I ran an easy 8 on Friday morning with Karl. It must have been an uneventful run because I don't remember a damn thing other than the loop we ran.
I headed to the GRC on Saturday to run with the team for the first time in about a month. My plan was to get in an easy 10; the longest run since coming back. Our large pack headed down to Hains Point and did the standard 6 or 10 loop. The rain eased and the wind was light. All and all a good run.
On Sunday I met exploring rival, The Towpath, way up at Northern VA Regional Park. I was skeptical/envious the Towpath had found a new (adventurous) spot to run. I scoffed at the notion, figuratively kicked an empty tin can, shrugged my shoulders and said "I guess I'll go run at that stupid place". Dickson joined us too. Brilliant sunshine greeted us at the outset of the run and we'd negotiated our way down a leafy trail that brought us to the river's edge. Mud and muck ran thick and deep. We splashed across creeks, ran through golf courses and along ridgelines. I got in 13. It was an epic run...I mean it sucked and so does Towpath.

Some day when it is dry, we should plan a point-to-point from Algonkian Park to Great Falls. Should be about 15 miles.
Okay Towpath...I love me some adventure.
To add to the adventure, we should run it in the summer when it is 100+ degrees and malarial.
